Fort Knox may prevail in Monsoon Sprint
Statesman News ServiceKolkata
, Sept. 16: The Calcutta Monsoon Sprint is the feature in a seven-race card framed for tomorrow. This 1,200m sweepstake race is a recent addition to the Monsoon calender and has attracted a decent field of eight runners to provide a good contest. Going by the terms of the race, Coco Chanel has a clear handicap edge over others. Having run a decent race over 1,800m recently,Coco Chanel will have the disadvantage of coming down to a sprint in so short a span of time. So the task may not be as easy. The runners who could be in contention are Elusive Study, Afforce and Fort Knox. Going by the outcome of the Wiseman Cup over the same distance, Fort Knox has an advantage over Elusive Sudy. In final analysis, Fort Knox may prevail over Elusive Study and Coco Chanel. Selections: 1.25 p.m.: PROMISSORY 1, Artillery 2, Magic Mantra 3. 1.55 p.m.: TATLER 1, Alamgir 2, Lizzy Arden 3. 2.35 p.m.: APPERTAIN 1, Beauty Of Man 2, Cromwell 3. 3.05 p.m.: MEZZANO 1, Arrayal 2, Finder Keepers 3. 3.35 p.m.: ROMANTIC SCENE 1, Solid Success 2, Dazzling Win 3. 4.10 p.m.: FORT KNOX 1, Elusive Study 2, Coco Chanel 3. 4.45 p.m.: TRIPLE EDGE 1, Romanticity 2, Zafir 3.
